Feng Shui Bed Room Lay Out

Feng Shui tells us of the best orientation for a bedroom in a dwelling. If this is not implemented, your bedroom will drain out your positive energy, robbing you of your well earned rest. It can affect your health, love life and your relationship with your partner as well.

The first thing you have to consider is the Baqua of the location, which may be totally out of line with your personality. To elaborate on this; the eight Baqua have inherited natural qualities which have to strike a balance with the occupant’s life qualities. For example, if the person’s life area requirements are good health, improved family life, and similar themes the Eastern Baqua (compass reading 67.5 to112.5) is the best location for them, while the colors of interior décor should be Brown and Green, and their recommended element for architecture is wood. The windows of the room have to open to the outside, bringing in fresh air in waves with the morning sun’s radiant energy. If you wish to have air conditioning in your room go ahead, only ensure the air is filtered properly with HEPA and activated carbon filters, making the air nearly as good as Fresh air. (The Nano tech filters don’t cost you the Earth either! They are standard in many makes nowadays).

The next step may be a little tedious but it is essential, especially when your room may not be ideally located due to reasons beyond your control. According to the Flying Stars school of Fen Shui, there are two energy groups, identified as East and West. Every human being belongs to one energy group or other depending on their Kua number, a number which depends on your year of birth and gender. To arrive at the Kua number one has to add the last two digits of the birth year to a single digit, and if female add five and continue adding until you arrive at a Single Digit. This last number is your Kua number. Similarly for a male, deduct the number 5 from the last number from which a single positive number can be derived. This number will be that person’s Kua number.The best direction for your bedroom, work place etc. to face will be the direction identified from the energy group you belong to, utilizing the Kua number.

It is important to keep in mind that the East energy group comprises of the directions East, South East, South and North. The rest of the directions are aligned with the energy group West. Aligning your Bedroom, it’s furniture etc. so that you’re facing the best direction for the inflow of vital positive energy to your self is what you have to try to achieve harmony.

Do not place too much emphasis on the Kua number and energy group directions if it is not possible due to some reason or other. What is important is ’striking the best balance’, say the Feng Shui experts. Keeping your home and it’s important rooms free of clutter and negative energy generating objects is far more important.
